International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians

The International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians is a group of Rotarians dedicated to promoting aviation as an opportunity for fellowship. This Fellowship operates in accordance with Rotary International policy, but is not an agency of, or controlled by Rotary International.

Be advised that the New Mode S rules in Germany are as follows:

IFR: ModeS is mandatory for all aircraft since March 31, 2007

VFR (new aircraft): ModeS is mandatory since March, 31, 2005

         ( all aircraft): ModeS is mandatory from March 31, 2008 for all flights;

  1. -          In airspace C + D (not CTR) and in TMZ
  2. -          Above 5000 ft
  3. -          At night in controlled airspace

If you are planning to visit one of the German-Austrian meetings this year you should have mode S if you want to fly in FL 85 or 95.
